Arrival! At Last!

Sunset over the main house
So here we are on the eve of our second night here in New Zealand and it's been a ride and a half already!  I don't care what anyone says....  Uprooting and traveling to the bottom of the world is no easy task.  Tomorrow when Lizzy or I have time we'll elaborate on the process of getting here.  For now though, I wanted to share with you the sight we were greeted with last night as 40 hrs. of travel finally caught up:

Tomorrow, Saturday, we are off with Tana to go get familiarized with the Island itself and get a chance to go grocery shopping and to get our bearings.  Hopefully around midday we can fill you in on what has happened so far between leaving my parents' front door, and stepping off the ferry on Waiheke.  Plus, we're in the process of shooting footage of the farm so we can put together a virtual tour.

  1. Beautiful! One of my early big thrills after arriving in NZ was to find the southern cross. If you are still in the fuzzy world of jetlag and waking up at weird hours in the middle of the night, it can be a nice bonus to check out the "new" night sky!
